5 Weeks in with some good, some bad

These weeks are gonna happen, and it stung at 1st. But maybe I got too confident. What I did the entire 1st month was working great. Thought I was about to hit the smooth sailing, weight just keeps coming off phase…I guess not 🙂

Weighed in 2lbs higher than week 4. Stung for sure, but had to just take a minute and look at what I have/haven’t changed. No alcohol, no fast food, no sugary drinks. But I have been snacking well past 11 at night, pretty regularly. And despite being zero carbs, doesn’t mean it’s zero calories. So maybe that contributed. Less walking for sure, was not getting my daily walk in. Also had 2 days without a smoothie. While it was disappointing thinking I’d hit 20lbs lost for sure. Had already been telling a couple people that I had, cause it felt like it was in the bag. Especially when I tried on this old shirt that did not fit me a few months back. Put it on Saturday and it was loose and fit great. So I know the weight is coming off, it just isn’t happening as fast as I’d like it to.


This weekend is the golf trip, so I did not make my goal. Fell 10lbs short but still lost 15lbs in 5 weeks. Was totally thinking I’d done enough to drop 20, but missed it. Need to be more active, obviously. Will be lots of walking this weekend, but also my drinking rule is over (and I might be a little TOO ready for it haha). So lots of golf with the guys, always a great time. Also going to my son’s football game Friday night. That will be great. Need to watch my diet and going nuts on it, but will indulge a bit for sure (that’s the entire point of the weekend)
